About Us

Sandra Martinez Roe

Author + Founder

Sandra Martinez Roe is a first-generation Mexican-American entrepreneur, proud mother, and passionate climate advocate. After nearly three decades as CEO of her own fashion company, she’s turned her focus to inspiring the next generation through environmental action and storytelling. She’s the author of Hello Earth Club, a heartfelt children’s book about a group of friends exploring big ideas for a more connected, sustainable world.

Sandra brings climate optimism to life by reading in schools, organizing cleanups, planting trees, and helping to advocate for local park improvements. Whether it’s civic engagement, community service, or volunteering at her child’s school, she believes in the power of community by setting an example with the ultimate goal of sharing the magic that happens when children realize they can and will make a difference.

Maria Maria

Illustration + Design

Riza and Chris Rodriguez (Maria and Maria) are Filipino sisters and multidisciplinary artists based in New York City. Lifelong collaborators, their creative journey began in childhood—building cardboard playhouses and dreaming up imaginative worlds—and has since evolved into a shared artistic practice rooted in storytelling, visual communication, and cultural connection.

Together, they co-founded Maria Maria, a design line that merges fashion and jewelry with narrative depth, drawing from their Filipino heritage as a continuous source of inspiration. Their work bridges culturally significant motifs with contemporary aesthetics, creating pieces that resonate with both personal memory and collective identity.

Sustainability is at the heart of their process, shaped by an upbringing that emphasized resourcefulness, environmental care, and minimizing waste. Whether designing wearable art or conceptual installations, Chris and Riza are committed to honoring tradition while reimagining the future—always through a creative lens that centers authenticity, connection, and conscious design.
